Hello I've been reading the forums quite a lot the last few days trying to understand my best choice for some new monitors.
Currently i run 5 monitors. (I multibox, WoW and EvE Online in a previous Life, plus i design in my job where i work from home a lot so multiple screen makes my job easier.. that's my story and i'm sticking to it.)
I have two Graphics cards
MAIN = MSI HD HD7970 Running a Dell DisplyPort 23in, and 2 Crappy old Square 19in TFT screens, (these are the Three Bottom Screens, SCREENS 1,2 and 3)
SECOND = VTX3D HD5870 Running a 20in Dell and a 17in Crappy Square TFT. (These are the two top screens on the left and right, Screens 4 and 5)
Now I was thinking I would move the two Dells to positions 4 & 5? and buy new screen for positions 1 2 and 3?
I have a budget of no more than around £500 give or take £50.
My considerations are?
Do I want to try 3D? (Though I don’t even understand how to get this working on my HD7970
Should I go for eyefinity setup? (Therefore all the same monitors in bottom three?)
I would like screen/s around 24in to 27in? (larger in middle, smaller to left and right, or all the same)
I play a lot of games various types, but never really see or appreciate the difference in this 60hz or 120hz thing. I’m not really a gaming connoisseur so to speak, but i do play a lot of games!
ATM I’m thinking the
BenQ GW2750HM 27" (Though I am worried three of these side by side will be too big?)
Or
BenQ GW2450HM 24"
So your sage advice is requested!
BTW my other computer Specs are
Gigabyte GA-EX58-UD5 Intel X58 (Socket 1366) DDR3 Motherboard
Intel Core i7 920 D0 Stepping (SLBEJ) 2.66GHz
12 GB Corsair XMS3
