Probably is a gimmick TBH.

Apparently Quake 4 takes advantage of the X-RAM but ive had the Fatal1ty version with the front bay and the Xtreme music i have now. To be honest ive noticed no difference at all in sound quality.

I think all the cards have had some form of RAM on them for years. I remember getting an AWE32, and that even had SIMM sockets on it
