I'm just building my new rig and want to check why the fans provided with my case have the 3-pin fan header connected via a connector block to molex connecors? Dumb question I know however, I'm assuming that I can dispense with the molex connectors and connect the 3-pin header directly to the motherboard to provide power to the fan and allow the motherboard to monitor fan speed. Is this correct?
