can you mod 3 pin fan's so they have a molex connecter to power them ?

You could just get a 3 to 4 pin adapter

As im sure you've just found out, yes you can mod them. The third pin is just a prm sensor pin, which you would obviously lose if you hook it up to a molex plug. Other than that it works fine.

Yea, seems to work a treat. I have a 92mm gigabyte cpu fan attached to my window now and its cooling my cpu and graphics a lot better than the stock fan.
