3 red lights.... Now working again.

Hello guys, my mate called me this afternoon as his 3 month old 360 had developed the dreaded 3 red lights. He called up microsoft and they advised him to return it and they'd get it sorted within 15 days of receiving it.

However he's just gone back to it and it's working perfectly now...

So i was just wondering, now it's on again should he just keep it and use it as normal? or, once you've had those 3 little lights is your 360 essentially screwed and it'll intermittently play up and end up corking it fairly shortly?

mine started playing up last thursday, then was ok fri/sat, then since Sunday nothing but red lights. Its going back.

Yeah once they start to come they will keep coming until it wont come on again, thats what happend to mine.

A cold solder joint manifests itself in this way. My friends is doing something very similar.
