ok well I've just phoned up the company I bought my asus p5e3 deluxe mobo from for my 2nd rma. I have already rma'd my processor thinking that was the problem as their mobo worked with a different processor. turned out that wasnt the issue.

sooo

2 mobo rma's and a processor rma later, shall I just give up on asus and look for a different manufacturer? I've just given up on them. their tech support is worse than those men in purple, their forums are moderated by the public and nobody (as stated on the site) from asus post there, the only telephone support you get is from america and to top it off in the 4 or so months their board has been out it has gone through 6 bios updates and is due for its 7th anytime now.

thats quite a list of cons. but if I can get their board to work it has a lot of good specs and its the only spec list Im interested in other than the 790i which isnt out anytime in the next couple of days :p

at witts end. maybe I should just quit life lol.

looking above this looks more of a rant. I gues it is really, I dont want advice on which mobo to get really because they are all pretty ****. Im not buying another ASUS board again which rules out a lot of the market available. MSI are monotonous, Abit hasnt really given anything competative on the new scene in a while and the rest just dont really meet my spec of ddr3, intel and at least 2 pci-e x16 slots.

this mobo has everything I want. If it worked.

cant help but think the people I am buying them from have a bunch of dud mobos asus are trying to get rid of for their x48....
