Hey guys,

Im busy looking at some monitors, looking to get 3 of them to use with FSX in Eyefinity.

Wandering around the internet lookin at various monitors and reading their tech specs Ive come across this "pixel pitch" thing mentioned a few times.

To cut a long story short is this true, an example. Am I right in understanding this correctly.

22" screen @ 1080 X 1920 - pixel pitch 0.26

24" screen @ 1080 X 1920 - pixel pitch 0.28

Both screens have the same rez but would the smaller one actually be a little sharper cuz its pixel "grid" is smaller. The same rez is used on the bigger monitor but to cover the bigger space the "grid" has to be enlarged (pixels made bigger) to cover the larger surface area.

Now Im a realist - youre not gonna notice this difference. Im just askin from a technical standpoint :D

I guess this goes to show that if you can afford it if youre getting a larger screen try and get it at a higher rez that accomodates the bigger screen area.

I initially wanted to get 3 X 24" with HD rez but this is making me think a little more about considering 3 X 22" with HD instead. However I cant deny the sheer amount of screenspace a 24 incher will give. And the big screen will also come into its on for those games that dont like Eyefinity.

So yea this was more a curiosity question like :o

PS: Not really sure I get what pixel pitch is. Is it the actual size of the pixel istelf or the seperating distance from the pixel on either side of it?

@ cmndr_andi - thanks for that very informative link :)

@ Duff-Man, yeah I think I might just go for the 24". I only really want them for FSX and not that bothered for other games, which is where the bigger screen will come in handy. Im well aware that my HD585o while no slouch is not a monster card and will struggle with pushing all those pixels! But i think it will handle FSX ok!

I guess 24" is the biggest one would go @ HD rez? Any bigger and I would want a higher rez than HD!
