hi chaps in a few weeks time im going to be buying a new monitor or monitors to replace my tescos own brand 22inch led tv..

i have just got my new r9 290 vapour x gpu so already noticing a big difference.

i originally set out to have 3 screens however only for racing sims and use just the one for everything else.

this has got me thinking maybe i would be better of spending my cash on 1 good quality 27/28 inch monitor 144mhz to really see a difference.. i will only have a budget of around 300 quid so thought i would ask you guys for an opinion..

thanks in advance

I would say coming for a basic 22" Tv even a good 24" 144Hz Monitor would be an upgrade.

With you budget a 3 monitor setup would be very basic using 3 22" monitor and wouldnt really see improvement.

Having a 3 screen setup over a single screen gives you that surround feeling and in driving and flying games is much better than a single screen IMO ...

i do agree with you there my dilemma is i have no interest playing my other games such as bf4 dayz ect on 3 screens and i prob play them 60 to 70 % of the time.

i saw titanfall on 144mhz monitor in my local computer outlet and couldn't believe the difference.

i suppose i could get a nice monitor and another cheap tesco 1080p and have 3 cheap for racing and a decent one for everything else lol

I've had 3 screens, in AMD Eyefinity & Nvidia Surround, but I just game
on one big 30" monitor now.

3 screens does look awesome, especially for flight sims & racing games, which is what a play a lot of.

I couldn't get on with them in FPS, as I found the skewed images on the left
and right screens, very distracting.

Also, some game's behave badly with 3 screens, so you have to mess about
with the games config files to correct this, if there is a fix.

The only way, to find out all about it, is to buy 3 screens, and see what you think yourself, hope this helps.

Personally I'd get one big'n'good monitor.

With a budget of £300, you're going to get 3 low end monitors. All I'd feel is "I've got three extra of the same crap"

Now if I spent £300 big ones on one big high end monitor, I'd feel "Wow, now this is a new monitor".
