3 series to pick

Ive narrowed my search down to the following:
Angel
The Shield
Deadwood

If i had to pick one, which one should i go for?

I've not seen Angel but i have seen the other 2 and without hesitation i say Deadwood. The best acting i have ever seen in a tv program, the dialogue and scripting is fantastic, the setting and costume is fantastic and whilst there isn't a plot as such simply following the life of the villagers is gripping and exciting. There is plenty of nudity and violence too! Definitely Deadwood

Is the whole series out yet, cause really i would like it to be cause, im joining the army in january and it would be best if i finished them all.

Think ill go with deadwood just done a bit of research and its only 3 seasons, but who cares if its quality throughout. Ill give it a try and let you know what i think

I thought angel was meant to be more dark sort of like supernatural. Not corney like that, i thought buffy was for the teens and angel was for the adults?

Like all of Whedon's stuff it varies quite a lot. Most of it is darker than Buffy. No show has ever made me experience such a wide variety of emotions.

I'd go with the Shield. Haven't seen Deadwood though. Angel is pretty damned god but Shield impressed me more.

They're actually all decent series, just in their own ways. You won't really go wrong with any of them.

Deadwood is really really good television. Can't see how a teenage vampire show could be better.
My other suggestions if you're looking for more in the future are The Wire and of course The Sopranos. My favourite shows ever

already own the sopranos, and i dont think i wanna touch the wire by the sound of it.
