Hi there, I made a topic not so long ago about what to get but I've been thinking about every thing I want and now I know so doing new topic.

Here is the main things I want

*Fast speed (My old PC used to take like 3-4mins to load up fully)
*8gb memory (For future prove)
*Cheep to run (Things that don't use much electric if that's possible)
*Graphics Card (That will play games like (WoW, CS:S, BF2 on full)
*Silint fans

I don't need:
Operating System, Mouse, speakers etc just the main base (OR what ever it's called )

Now, I ain't sure what I want to spend so may I have 3 specs

£400
£600
£1,000

Thank you!

It does matter if you are reusing windows xp for the new rig. It will be pointless buying 8GB as the OS won't even use it.....even 4GB is too much!

If you are mainly going to be gaming then 4GB will suffice anyway. Better to spend out the difference towards the GPU

I'll be using Vista.
I will be using things like photoshop but I'll just be using it for games more.

Will it still be pointless?

Thanks.

Thanks for them specs all look good.
Why do you guys think I don't need 8gb memory?

Bit of a stupid thing to ask, but what part in the PC will get it to load up fast, and load other things up fast like software?

Also, why do I need a Crucial RealSSD M4 64GB 2.5" SATA 6Gb/s Solid State Hard Drive aswell as a Microsoft Windows 7 Bundle - Home Premium 64 Bit :S

Thanks for that, only thing is I don't need to buy windows 7.

I could do the 1k one for £944.38

With:

Microsoft Windows 7 Bundle - Home Premium 64 Bit
To
Western Digital Caviar Blue 500GB SATA 6Gb/s 16MB Cache
£32.99

-------------------

Corsair XMS3 4GB (2x2GB) DDR3 PC3-12800C9 1600MHz Dual Channel Kit
To
G.Skill RipJawsX 8GB (2x4GB) DDR3 PC3-12800C9 1600MHz Dual Channel Kit (F3-12800CL9D-8GBXL ) [F3-12800CL9D-8GBXL ]
£59.99

What do you guys think?
I know you guys say I don't need 8gb but then I'm future proved and things like photoshop etc use abit.

Thanks

OK, if you want a 1K build then that's a start :)

Then we can spec the best bang for bucks. If you want 8GB, then that's fine by me.

With a grand, can spec a good GTX570 build, 8GB, and maybe a SSD thrown in although OS will eat in the budget. I do recommend you get an OS (OcUK or somewhere else, as long as it's reputable).

Wait for us to give you the best equipment for the money, what I threw in was just an example.
Thanks, been having a think and maybe spending 1k is to high as I've still got games to buy. So maybe £650 max?

Sorry for being a pain /:

Windows 7 is much better than vista. You said you have vista but is it a 64bit version? If it's 32bit you can't use more than 4GB of RAM and you might as well upgrade it to windows 7 64bit.

If you want 8GB then get it. Personally I don't think it's needed for your uses and lets be honest it's not the hardest upgrade to do if you want to add more later ;)

Get the XMS3 RAM. If you want 8GB then buy the 8GB XMS3 kit it's practically the same price as the GSkill 8GB kit. I wasn't joking, you might think the heatspreaders look cool on the GSkill RAM but they can cause problems when fitting the heatsink as I've already said.
Well I don't have the vista yet but that's what I was going to get.
But, now I like windows 7 so think I would get that.

Don't need that in a spec though as I already know where I'm getting it.

 the games you want add up to £350?! :P

No, It's just having a think about it spending 1k on a computer that will just play games like BF2, BF:BC, CS:S, WoW would be a waste.

Here is what I've come up with using some of the items that people have posted.

Would that work?

Thanks
