3 Sticks work but not 4?

Hello

System Spec;
Mobo: 900FXA-UD5
Memory: Avexair 2666Mhz x2 (Slots 1 and 2)/ Avexair 1600Mhz x2(Slots 3 and 4)
CPU: FX8530
GPU: 770GTX SLi

I got the 1600Mhz RAM today, I can install 1 of the two and the machine boots up fine. I'v tried both sticks in the 3rd slot and they both work so its not a faulty unit.

I can't think of what it would be, any ideas :3 ?

Forgot to mention - I'v also tried slots 1/2/4 as well as 1/2/3 and the machine boost, it's just when all four are occupied, it turns on but will not boot.

Reset bios to default and update the latest bios rom and try again

I already have the most up to date BIOS and it was reset yesterday pre-installation.

Could it be because of the timings are different from dims 1/3 and 2/4 ?

Try a little more IMC voltage, not a lot but a little can often help

Are you trying to run the 1600mhz ram at 2666mhz? Also your configuration will be wrong if you are correct in your op. I would put the 2666mhz ram in slot 1 and 3 and the 1600mhz in slot 2 and 4 not as you have described above.

I had 4 stick issue years ago on an expensive Asus motherboard, it just wasn't stable with all ram slots used....haven't bought Asus since.
