I have just fitted my 3rd HD4870 on my ASUS M3A32-MVP Deluxe motherboards running windows 7.

CCC now says " you have more then two graphics processors that are capable of AMD CrossFireX. Select the GPU combination that you want to use."

The options are 2 GPUs ( 4 2 ) or 2 GPUs ( 4 0 )

Im confused as i was homing to crossfire all 3. Have a made a boo can you only crossfire two cards? Or have i just confused my self?

Thanks

Yes to all 3 cards. One from the top to the next card and one form that card to the one under so i think thats ok.

Edit: Thanks Cleecooo you where right. The middle card in the Crossfire was set was set as the master. I have changed that two the top card in the chain now its all working fine :) Thanks for the help

On the product page it states triple Crossfire is only supported as x16/x8/x8, from this, I'm assuming the first card needs to be in the top blue slot, the second card in the second blue slot, and the last card in the very bottom blue slot. However, I maybe be wrong. Can't find anywhere if the first black slot share lanes from the first blue or second blue slot.

Yup. Just found it on page 2-23 of the manual. Now that's a very stupid thing to do considering the second 4870 will block the slot for the third (unless the cards are single slot)...

EDIT: And I'm being blind again. Seems there's also x8/x8/x16 that works too. Which is what you just did to solve this :p.
