Hi.

Looking to set up 3 x 24" monitors for eyefinity, but having trouble working out what space i would need.

Can anyone running a similar set up tell me approx. what dimensions X and Y are ?

Thanks :)

I think it really depends at what angles you have your monitors set at, the amount of deskspace needed for the width of three 24" monitors is about 171cm's, each monitor being about 57cms wide.

For a 16:10 screen your screen length will be 20.32" plus the bezel (say 1 inch either side). If it's 16:9 then it's 20.9" plus the bezel. As for the "y", it depends on the angle you set them at. 30 degrees is probably reasonable, so then it would be half the length of the screen. About 11". Your total x would be about 60" total assuming a 1" bezel.

If it's any help I have 3 x 24" screens set up on a desk 1.8 metres wide x 400mm deep with approx 15 degree turn in on the outside monitors :)
This fills the desk width and enough space for a G15 keyboard and mouse etc.

Now all I need is for the flippin active display port adaptors to come into stock :(

Here's a pic of mine (sorry took with my iPhone)

Angle 10/15 degrees turn on outside monitors.

Width(X) 160cm, Depth(Y) 27cm. These are Dell 2407's

Taff what stand do you use to mount the monitors?

I'm after one for my collection of 2407's :)

Hi Wij,

I use 3 separate wall brackets, not a desk stand. They give many more mounting options that one fixed stand. I can really adjust them the way I want rather than a fixed position that a desk type stand would give.

The are LCD107's and can be found searching Amazon.

At present the advert doesn't mention 24 inch screens, but it used to and they fit mine perfect. Though it is a ball ache to get the 3 arms correctly positioned on the wall and correctly drilled.
