Absolutely terrible. The number of dog attacks seems to be rising all the time. I honestly think there should be a law in place that means that any dog that so much as nips a human with their teeth is immediately destroyed. Also there should be more severe penalties in place for the dogs owner for allowing the attack to happen.

They need to make the consequences for the owner much more harsh to encourage people to be more vigilant or simply not own a dangerous dog at all.

Who don't attack for no reason with a proper home.

When I was a kid, the house opposite had a German shepherd, kids used to bang the fence, throw rocks.. etc one day it got out and bit a couple of them. Rather funny tbh

There was guy killed just the other day by a 'Dangerous' dog that had just been released by the Police after some other previous attack. The owners are 100% to blame AFAIC.

It's rarely the dog's fault. It's the fault of the owners for either not training the dog correctly, not giving the dog the correct attention, or just being muppets.
A badly trained dog with a feckless owner is dangerous but unfortunately there's no training requirement for owners before they are allowed to own a dog.

You can't domesticate a wild animal. What other flawed analogies do you have coming out your behind?

But dogs were domesticated? Looking at it statistically speaking when you see the amount of attacks made by tigers in this country on random people and then compare it to attacks made by terriers then it is quite clear what is the most dangerous animal.

Or maybe it just wanted to bite.. regardless how much training you give a dog any dog could snap.

This sums it up. I've had dogs for 15 years now and not once have they went for anyone. I have a 3 year old nephew and as much trust as I have with dogs, I would never leave him alone with them at any point.

It's not the dog that's dangerous though it's the feckless owners. It is they who should be put away. Totally irresponsible.

I saw an incident only the other day where this brute of a thing out on its own was running amok terrifying everything and everyone in sight. Minutes later this overweight women comes wheezing into view, hair scraped back, ****** and jeffing at the top of her voice at the dog. I thought nice one love, as if the dog understands the foul language. Is it any wonder it's like it is.

I thought I landed on the set of Jeremy Kyle.

A very dangerous breed can be tamed and the most tame creature can be made into the most fear-inducing monster in the hands of an experienced owner. I've seen pitbulls playing with kids (under supervision of course) like they're the kids' mother and I myself have been attacked by a retarded owner's dog which left me with a trauma for life.

I say have harsher punishments for owners. If your dog bites a kid and the kid is seriously injured, have same penalty as if the owner himself done the job. Unless of course the kid has provoked the dog beyond means.

Was out a few days ago and saw someone walking a dog with a strap over its mouth and my first thought was dangerous/aggressive - dog noticed me and was acting a bit strange and the guy started petting it and saw me looking said it gets nervous/overwhelmed easily especially around strangers and bites defensively - which was a perspective that never occurred to me before.
