Does anyone use '3' here? Are they worth looking at? The x-series packages look pretty cool...anyone got it?

I've been on 3 for the past 4 months, the receptions fine and the prices are dirt cheap too so it's all good.

i was with three, and they were an absolute nightmare. the customer services are all foreign and impossible to uinderstand, and if you think you can just go into the store to sort anything, i should think again, as they just say they cant do anything from the store, and you have to call the custoemr services from your handset. on the plus side they are cheap... as long as you dont mind your phone not working!

That is correct. The 3 stores have no way of accessing existing customer data except for upgrades.

just signed up to a 3 contract today, they were giving you £50 cash back today, and they also chucked in a bluetooth headset for free, added to that half price line rental for 18 months (17.50) for 400 mins and 250 texts plus £5 worth of downloads a month I couldn't find a deal to match.

They don't use o2 for backup/2g anymore do they? just I dont get an o2 signal round my way.

Got a contract at the weekend on their £15 / mo for 'life' thing (which is possibly finished now?) with an LG u400 phone.. phone is really nice so far although I see loads of people complaining about the perfectly good jog wheel online. 600 texts & 75 minutes is more than enough for me and it took me 5 minutes to change my number over.
Yes, the person I spoke to from my old network was called mohamed (did have a british accent so could easily be british) and the one from 3 was obviously from an outsourced place, but they were both helpful.

not sure about that.. When I'm in my house the signal is full (permanently.. haven't seen it drop once) and the 3g symbol appears on my phone. When I'm on campus it drops a bar and the R symbol appears - the manual says that means it's on a Roaming service - if that's what it is.
