30/11 Strikes.

Why shouldn't they suffer to the extent they are? Fair point. However I disagree because efficiencies could and can be made in many areas of the public sector. What does efficency mean? Less jobs in some areas of the public sector. Also more money for pensions.

A colleague of mine crossed the picket line and was asked why she wasn't striking. She replied that she couldn't afford the time off. To which the reply was...the Union can help with that. On that point I don't buy your reason for not striking.

.

That does not leave more money for pension pot.

Pension post is paid by employer and employee contributions. Either the employee needs to significantly increase contributions or pensions need to be reduced.

Union can help, yeah £5 a day. Not even worth claiming.

Effeciency has to happen anyway as the budgets have been cut.

yay! more blackmail, just what the country needs.

are the unions really that determined to get their influence curtailed even further?

Just think of it this way, the more the idiots strike and annoy everyone whos pays there wages the sooner the public as a whole will get sick of the childish antics and force the powers in charge to kill the unions off and we can finally get on with trying to rebuild the economy without the short-sighted greedy little ***** playing 'iam alright jack'.
