As per the title. The monitor will be used for long hours every day and for office work only (specifically Word), so it doesn't need high refresh or gaming bells and whistles.

I used to have a 40" Philips VA-style monitor and eventually the glare and brightness wore my eyes down, no matter how much I played with the settings. The Alienware IPS monitor I have is perfect in that regard, so I'd prefer an IPS panel.

I have about £500, but could spend more or less. A quick internet search indicates I can pick up a cheap VA monitor for way lower, but then there's a pretty big price jump to high-end Dells that I don't need.

Any recommendations?
