Hey, I was benchmarking my i7 4790k with Aida software and I noticed that's my CPU temp on core 1 is 30 degree higher than on my core 4! I dont think this is normal. Thermal paste is new. Mobo: asrock z97 killer fatality, cooler dark rock 3. https://ibb.co/dcCkQe

@acemastr its just a photo, but I think I can add it with url like that let me see

@jaming280672 No, the only thing I did to it is I put my thermal paste and covered it with my cooler. No delidding. More informations for the post: I reseted my bios settings with no results, clock speeds are same for each core.

@acemastr @Robzere31 I checked it already thermal paste looks okay it has no gaps and its amount is okay too. When I took it off shape on the cooler seemed squarish so no problem with that too. I even tried to push my cooler harder with my hand while benchmarking and it had no impact on that core at all. I`m so confused, maybe its the built in processor thermal paste which is the source of this problem. If so ... I have no experience in delliding so I do not think that I can solve that problem than ;s

There are kits for delidding, or services. If you're handy you can do it yourself, I did.

Lots of information online - do your research before jumping in. Looks well worthwhile for your chip though

I think this is what I am left with and probably gonna try it in a few days , Hope for the best. Thanks everyone for huge support!

My 4790k also goes to very high temps , at idle it sits at around 36c but load up a game and it goes straight up to 80c , and in-game can go up to 90c and over
