I used to game on a 32" tv but found that with the likes of the Xbox, my eyes struggled when playing. Switched it down to my 22" pc monitor now, and its much better for PC and Xbox gaming.
I was thinkin of trying my rig on my 32" HD TV. I have a hdmi port on my 5850 and wanted to test it out, would it run ok on an actual tv like this rather than a monitor?
Depends how you use the screen. I like to sit 1-2m away from my 47 inch TV, but my bed is 4m away - So the size of the TV fits all uses.
My 24 inch pc screen is fine up close but at uni (I cannot take my tv) I sit 1.5m away from the screen for films and games (360 pad on pc and the ps3) it seems too small.
There must be a limit for how big a pc screen can be for 1-2 foot away gaming. No idea what it is but my next pc screen is going to be 26-27 inches - Gotta 'upgrade' the size over the last one.
I'll have to get a pic of my cousins wall mounted 40" Sammy LCD which is like 2ft away from his seat LOL. He does have his PC,360 connected to that and does watch telly from his bed on it too.
Problem I have is each time I get a new monitor it's 2" bigger than the last. It looks MAHOOSIVE each time, but then the old one begins to look small as I get used to it's size. Now my big monitor looks normal

ive got a 24" samsung monitor which i use for my pc i find it spot on tbh but if i wanted to use bigger i have my 50" linked to it aswell basically to show off to me mates
I think 24" is best size for gaming at full HD. I am planning to get one in near future. Unless you sit far away, 30" imo would be very big at close sitting distance.
I am in the fortunate postion of being able to play games on a 22", 24" or 30" - there is no competition. If you have the capability to drive the 2560x1600 rez well then go for 30"
