30" with PS3?

I'm quite tempted to buy a 30" monitor (thinking mainly of the Dell one, tbh), which I gather requires a dual DVI equipped graphics card, which is no problem because I have one. However, I also have a PS3 running on my current monitor, and wonder how on earth I'd be able to display that on a 30" one. Will my HDMI/DVI cable not cut it? Is it even possible?

no, the ps3 doesnt output the accepted resolutions for the dell 3007wfp

the dell can only accept incoming resolutions of 1280*800 and 2560*1600 but can still display others using the graphics card to scale them.

just get a 1080p 37" tv, and use it for your pc aswell, would be pretty sweet imo.
