30 year mouse & keyboard player transitioning to a controller

After many, many years of PC gaiming I've decided to give console gaming a go - comfy sofa gaming appeals to me at this stage in my life

I got me a PS4 and Destinty... holy cow, I'm terrible!! Can't hit a barn door! Very frustrating.

Anyone else had this and how long did it take to get proficient with a console controller?

Also try inverting the vertical controls if you haven't before you may find that helps.

Yeah, tried that, didn't like. Odd, since that's how I use a mouse in a game.

I spent a couple of hours last night doing nowt but shooting things in the Cosmodrome (Destiny), not bothering with the story, by the end I could hit stuff

Now I reckon I'm ready to get my 'training' actually playing the game proper; doing missions, etc.

I played for an hour or so last night and already a massive improvement in just a few days, apart from when I panic and run around looking at the sky or the floor!
