I'm currently toying with getting a 360 or PS3 as my PC struggles quite a bit with some the latest games I've tried playing. Eg: I can't run Bioshock at native res on high textures. I thought I'd check to see if the money on a console would be better used going towards as my pc as I'd probably prefer the KB/Mouse combo anyhow.

My current system is: (can't remember exact component names but they are roughly)

Enermax 500w psu
Lian-li PC7+
AMD64 3700+
Dell Ultrasharp 2007
7800GT graphics card
2GB Geil Value RAM
Asus AN8-SE SLI motherboard
Sata HDD
Windows XP

I'd probably be looking at a new cpu, mobo, graphics card & ram. I'm hoping I can get away with my current PSU and the other things I'm happy with. I'm in no rush as my system chugs along nicely at lower res etc.. but just wondering how my money could be spent.

Great overclocking potential, The E2160 will comfortably OC to ~3GHz and beyond and the 8800 GTS should have no problems running Bioshock at your native res :)
