Thats just over £300 so it will have to come down but i would like to get the most for the money as i am really trying to help a friend out that is on a tight budget :), gaming surfing is what the rig will be used for.

Changing to those parts brings the total to:

So you could keep the Samsung F3 and maybe the case and just stick with 2GB of ram - and add a second stick later. Or stretch budget a little bit.

You mention gaming - with what graphics card?

BAH ! 2gb of ram and cheap case and seagate it is then !

Could go Intel route get an E6600 for around £60 and mobo for it for around £60 also should come in at around £340 with 2gb ram.

+1 good spec. Worth that little bit more I think for non-B grade / clearance lines just for peace of mind if anything else.

Remember all B-Grade now has a 3 month warranty.
