I have asked by a friend to cost a new base unit only - he has a 19" TFT(1280x1024), and XP, Keyboard, Mouse and Speakers already.

Mainly looking for general office and some gaming, mainly MMORPG's, but with a maximum cost all in of £300.

The best I could come up with is:

Could anyone see any issues with the above, or recommend anything different. Naturally C2D would be great, but not within this budget lol!

Thanks

Oops -DVDr-w - knew I had forgotten something !

Thanks for the reply :)

One other thing - do most new motherboards install SATA drives without a floppy drive?
