Looking at a basic laptop , for spreadsheets, browsing, emails, and watching videos.

That's it, no games or photo editing required.

What are the opinions on the Inspiron 15 3000 (Are we allowed to mention Dell here?)

And is there anything else that people would recommend in that budget?

Long story cut short brought a laptop for my wife but had a horrible screen flicker on it, returned it, they checked and sent it back saying it was ok. This happened twice and it was still not right so asked for a refund which they were refusing to give until I threatened legal action.

They seem to think normal rules and laws do not apply to them.

I've purchased 4 laptops either for myself or friends/family on the outlet and never had any issues, always got a great spec for a fraction of the price, and when I've had issues the next business day support has always been spot on
