A few questions,

Your harddrive/DVD drive, are they SATA or IDE?

What case and PSU do you have?

My hdd'd Are SATA but my dvd drive is still on IDE,

My psu is an 850W BFG from ocuk And the case is a relitivly big gerneric gameing case 2x120m fans front/back and a 90mm fan on the side, ow and the gpu is msi 560ti oc edition twin razor

Kingston HyperX Blu 4GB (2x2GB) DDR3 PC3-12800C9 1600MHz Dual Channel Kit (KHX1600C9AD3B1K2/4G) £23.99

But really, I'd add an extra £50 for 8GB and maybe a better board?

Although the cooler is a moot point if you can't overclock the gigabyte reliably to 4.4GHz (30% overclock is the sweet spot).

Thanks very much guys, bassed on the items then is it not best just to buy one of the overclocked bundels or is it better to buy them seperate and try the overclock my self ?

once again cheers, i just want the best bang for my buck

Do it yourself, go into the BIOS and change the CPU multiplier form 33X to 40X, bingo instant 4GHZ.

4GHz is easily done on stock voltage, with a bigger cooler theres no reason why you cant be doing 4.5Ghz or a bit more with a Vcore increase.

After setting the frequency desired in the BIOS, its worth testing the stability of the overclock with a program such as Prime95 (run for hours) or intel burntest (20+ runs) to see if there is any errors reported.

To increase the stability a tiny bit more Vcore can be added in the voltage section of the BIOS.

At 4Ghz I would imagine nothing needs adjusting, but at 4.5GHz more will be required, the other thing about the motherboard is that it may auto adjust this value itself to suit (called serialVID)

For example if you go into the BIOS and make a note of the vcore reported, then set the multiplier to a higher number (40+) then save and exit the BIOS, if you go back in you should see the Vcore has increased all on is own.
