Hi guys,

Which card would be the best bang for buck at this price? I'm currently weighing up the 6970 or 570 but don't know which to go for?

It will be in a system with an i7 920@ 4ghz if that matters.

A slight nudge in either direction would be nice, thanks!
 
hmm well bang for buck will be ati cards atm, you will get a few replies saying get a 6950, update the bios to a 6970 and oc for little over £200.
 
If you wanted to spend the whole £300 on it sure but what would be the gains ?
Btw i dont swear by this benchmarking tool, but dam is it handy for rough fps gains here and there.

Rev1 for £214 is a steal tbh even if you read the summary is states Features:-
- Revision 1: Flashable to 6970
Now that means its very close to the 6970 in speed when the bios is changed for 50-60quid less and 85 less than the GTX570.

Also the GTX570 feels like a 2nd Revision of the GTX480, the 480 is on sale atm absolute power house but "can" be loud and hot.

If the money is burning in your pocket then grab the GTX570 but if your looking to save a few quid and dont mind changing the Bio's grab the 6950 :)
