£300 GFX Card

Id fully star out the sweary first ;) , for £300 would be the 7900 GTX, but you can get equal performance from the £205 x1900 XT 512mb, but that also does HDR+AA that the 7900 can't, so he doesn't need to spend £300, oh and the x1900 uses more power, gives out more heat, and is louder, but as i said they are about equal. :)

I would advise him to buy an X1950XT-X which are out in a couple of weeks time. Preliminary reports suggest that a single one of these cards can spank the 7950GX2, and it will launch on OcUK with a bargain price of £290 according to Gibbo. :)

Oh yeah that will be the best when it comes out if he can wait 2x weeks, if not then then the x1900 as i said above. :D

Aye, if he can't wait then the X1900XT is an incredible buy at £205. Just as fast as a 7900GTX with far superior image quality. ;)

Yup forgot the far superior image quality to, im tired, thats my excuse anyway. :p
