£300 graphics card for BF3?

It is a great card and well under the ops budget. Op, unless your going to be gaming above 1080p i think its a good choice. Your right in the fact the new cards are coming, but i doubt they will be better than this GTX580 for the same price. I wouldn't buy one new on the other hand for £370 or whatever they are.

It looks like there's been a rule change.

It used to be 250 posts and 90 days.

The members market is provided as a free service to active and contributing forum members. OcUK are not liable for any deals that are done in the Members Market, you are free to buy and sell at your own risk. Please read the rules of the Members Market before you proceed to make your first sale.

Access to the Members Market forum requires two things. Firstly, you will need to have over 1000 posts and have been signed up for at least 180 days. Please note that this does not mean you spam the forums simply to increase your posts, as this action will result in posts being deducted, and if you continue this behaviour, your account will eventually be banned/suspended. Once you reach 1000 posts, you will need to activate your trust.The Trust system is for Members Market feedback only and not to be used for general user comments. Abusing the trust system will not be tolerated and such abuse will result in your account being suspended/ banned. Trust activation is either found in your UserCP, or you can press the trust button that appears at the bottom of all your posts.

Don't think there is any chance of matching a gtx 580 performance new for £250-£300, but we'll see. Still happy with my choice. :D

Would highly recommend one.

I'd be very suprised if it is under £350, I don't recall the 5850 being £100 cheaper than the 5870 at release but could be wrong.

Since when is a reference GTX570 £300? Try £250. ;)

Fair enough on the 570 price, I just looked at the item posted in the thread.

7970 is $549 and 7950 is $449. So difference should be about £70-80 and the vtx 7970 will be £420 in a couple of weeks on ocuk.

I still expect some cheap this week only cards on its release at ocuk. 570 and 6970 seem the most likely.

Indeed, but obviously factor in the just released premium when the first lot of stock comes in. From what Gibbo has said placement wise, I'd suggest it would be around the £370 price range for the 3GB model to start with and then come down from there in 3-4 weeks.
