£300 netbook

I am after a netbook for no more than £300, the cheaper the better.

Just really want it for internet browsing and watching movies.
I would like something with good battery life and a decent sized HDD.

What would you guys suggest?

at that price i'd get the samsung nc10.

Yeah i also have £300 to spend, And from what everyones saying the Samsung NC10 is the one to get! which i might do tomorrow

I have seen the eee pc for about £70 less than the nc10, I think I am going to go for that

ah ok fair enough, i would be wary spending £300 on a netbook myself, i'd instead go for a full 15.4" dual core celeron laptop.

the girlfriend just got a acer aspire one, 1.6 atom, 120gb hdd, 512mb ram, linux 8.9" 1024x600 display for £199 from purple store. there was a cheaper SSD 8GB for £175 however... but none were in stock. it seems a lot of places have little stock in place for orders...

I strongly suggest you get a NC10 ... there's a whole thread on it in this section, read through it.

congrats thou. i know your gonna enjoy it.. if you got xp on it... google "zune theme" and give that a try (looks nice with the black)
