Don't usually do these sort of requests; but i'm a bit out of the loop when it comes to Intel mobos and CPUs.

Have a budget of £300 and the machine will be used mainly for gaming. What would you suggest.

Info:
Needs to be AGP
Supports IDE HDD
DDR RAM (2x512mb sticks)
Must have integrated audio

The above components are already owned, just looking for a new mobo and CPU for the £300.

Thanks. :)

I think your better off saving for a complete upgrade. Your using Intel to game, and your still on AGP (so am I but I don't have the money to switch to AMD...yet).

asrock dual sataII & opteron 165

Or another option would be ...
AMD Athlon 64 X2 Dual Core 3800+
Asrock dual AGP / PCIE mobo (same as said by fester) :)

Now you have the chance far better to go AMD & use the above mobo .. lets you use AGP now & change to PCIE later too.

Thanks, all sorted now. Went the AMD 64 route in the end. Was for a friend who originally insisted on Intel, but i soon brought him round!

He's getting a DFI nForce3 board and 3700+ San Diego.
