£300 reliable car - where?!

Its cheeky and a bit of a long shot - but try freecycle. There's often people on there asking for/giving away old cars - if the person you're buying it for really needs it and cant afford it then someone might sympathise

Problem with free ones is they are likely to have issues or need tax and mot, which means more outlay which I'm not willing to do

Heh i'll be flogging my rock solid pug 106 for around that price, not for a while yet though.

Does go to show that they are out there though, someone is going to get a cracker (for the price) its only done 80k and it'll be good for years yet.
