£300 spec me

Mate needs machine parts and is looking at spending no more than £300 a system to play FSX and a few other games

Needs

Motherboard
Graphics card
CPU
Ram

Guessing he will also need a Powersupply, his current hard drive(s) will probably be IDE too, will ne need sata ones. Case will be quite a few years old, have motherboards got bigger?

thanks. never heard of a AMD Athlon II. Is it better or worse than the intel i range of cpus?

Take it it will be better than a standard x2, like my 939 x2 3800+
