Ok so im starting to get into Photoshop and my netbook seems to be really struggling :o so im gonna get back into the desktop scene i think so i have got around £300 for a Motherboard,RAM,Case and CPU (I may have a 9950 coming cheap but AM3 for now)...so i was thinking Athlon X4 630 or the Phenom 550 but which would be quicker and better for photoshop....
Thanks guys

I would look at the following:

Athlon II X4 630 ~ £83

Asus M4A88TD-M EVO/USB3 ~ £85

This motherboard has USB 3.0,SATA 3.0 and the HD4250 IGP with 128MB of dedicated DDR3.

Zalman Z7 Plus ~ £43

The total comes to around £303 excluding delivery. You should be able to get free delivery from OcUK.

I assume you already have a decent PSU.

I have a Thermaltake TR2 550w.....which i am assuming is fine?
Thanks for that mate....i will look it over and see what others recommend......So is the 630 a lot better than the 550?

The Athlon II X4 630 will be better for image editing and video encoding than an X2 550BE. The X2 550BE does have the possibility of being unlocked to a triple or quad and even some of the Athlon II X4 processors can be unlocked to a Phenom II X4 but this is not guaranteed.

As long as your PSU is in good working order it will be fine.

Thanks but the one i chose is more than enough as i can run what i need on my netbook gfx and i will never need more than 4gb lol.....thanks anyways but im just trying to save money
