So ive just received a refund for a busted a asus 7950, and need a new graphics card.

Im not sure on what to get now, 7870? 670? another 7950?

what brand? the Asus was really poor imo

any advice appreciated

If you are willing to put in £20 more and switch to team green then a 670 would be good, something like this from KAF2. They are the European army of Galaxy and have a UK based RMA center should anything go wrong.

If you want to stick with team Red then try a Gigabyte 7950, but again you will have to add some more money, but they do come with 3 free games.
IMHO I would go for the 670.

If you don't mind spending a bit more a GTX670 is a great card, and is one of the few high end cards to be good value for money! If you can't the 7950 is a still a good card but it's recently gone back up in price...

Id go for a GTX 670 around that price, but id go for one with a proper PCB not the joke 'dwarf' 670, I guess I would just resent paying Nvidia high end money for what clearly was meant as a midrange card, at least the normal PCB version looks a bit more high end...

Personally im waiting for the real high end cards and not these pretenders lol.

im really tempted with the 670, but ive read a lot of bad press about the reference cooler making noises and being poor, also that ref board is dam ugly.

it seems most prices of cards have risen in the past week or 2? or am i going insane
