The Overclock

Not being shy with voltages and knowing ive got good cooling i maxed the voltages for HTT and Chipset, (only 0.1v above Default :( ) then pumped the CPU upto maximum which is 1.55 in bios but between 1.56-1.58 in windows according to CPU-Z ASUS Probe etc.

300Mhz HTT x 9 Multi = 2700
DDR divider set to 200 (so DDR 150 at the moment!)
and HTT multi set to 2* (so HTT is only at 600)

But ive hit a brick wall with overclocking, temps are sexily low, with 33 idle according to asus probe, with fan barely ticking over so low that motherboard gives crazy readings. when it spins up ive yet to hit +45, but im thinking im voltage limited because temperatures, memory and HTT shouldnt be an issue, and im pretty sure that the board should go further than 300Mhz FSB when out of synch?

Its a silent beast with the lowermost fan disabled, the top 2 set to slowest, the typhoon set to Q-Fan which is dead quiet too.

The Noisy Bast. Video card i solved using ATI tool, it idles in windows at 67 degrees!!! but thats because i disabled the fan completley and im running it passive using its embaressingly small cooler, the fan is set to spin up when over 68, which it does the moment you load it lol, to keep the temps stable i also had to radically UC the card, its running at 100Mhz core and 350Mhz memory, but set to load the Overclocked profile under 3d.

I know i should really get the zalaman cooler with the heat pipe, V900 methinks for the GPU but wanted some peoples thoughts on some OC tips really.

can boot 2.8 into windows but its not very stable at all! discovered on my travels online that its a pretty good effort, was wondering if anyone had any experiance taking winchesters past 1.6V and if it improved their OCs at all.

tbh mate i think the reason your not getting people queing up to help is theres little to help with, winchesters that do over 2.6 are few and far between, beyond 1.55v is pretty much the point of diminishing return for a64 - basically mate, theres little to do but get a new chip :(

try getting the ram speed up
