Will then be buying 5 x 16x risers seperate. Is this spec pretty much as good as you can get for the money? Any problems/issues with it?

Sorry forgot to mention, electric will be free on this rig, but willing to invest in a better PSU if it will last longer.

Good choice, they have a super long warranty and the platinum's are hardcore over specced. There was a chance that three of those cards and a CPU would bring the RM to its knees but i think people have managed four 290's on the superflower platinums.

I'd hazard a guess, if he can get this kit (6 290x's) up and running at the top of their khash range then he could make his investment back in 20 - 30 days at current market rates. That is of course nothing bombs out or becomes faulty or the market itself flops.

20-30 days is wildly optimistic
You should be expecting between 50 - 70 days minimum if your clever about what you mine
More like 80 - 100 realistically

6 will be run off the free electric in a pure mining rig, the other 2 are going into a gaming machine which will be mining on the side.

I'm hoping for a ROI of under 4 months but whether or not I will cash the money back out as it's earned, I'm not sure at the moment.

Still very new to this so be prepared for some threads once the build is under way :D

Waiting on the cards for this order :(

No ETA at the moment, worth switching to another brand?

Also will these PSU's definitely be good enough for the setup with 6 cards?

If you are using the 2000w to power the mobo, cpu, memory and 6 gpu's then yes it is plenty. Does that answer your question?

e: I misunderstood, yes 2000w will power your rig.

Cheers mate.

Now to decide whether to wait for stock of these cards or to swap to another brand.
