Ive been offered said cpu for a tenner and i was going to put it in my childs p.c , in that machine she has 1gb of unbranded pc 2100 DDR , will this cpu work with that ram and if so will it run at full speed or will i have to underclock the cpu for it to work ?
 
Yeah, should work, but not all motherboards let you set a divider... Which one have you got? Can you go into BIOS setup and check if there's a "CPU Ratio" or whatever it's called option?
 
Ive decided not to buy it now ,im gunna upgrade her to socket 939 instead as i now have a spare neo2 platinum mobo for her :)
