300HTT + divider or 250HTT without?

What I'm wondering is: would running the CPU at 300fsb with a memory divider but with low cas numbers be better than running at say 250fsb with no divider and slacker timings. I have an Athlon 64 3200+ Venice , an ASUS A8N5X and some Corsair 1GB DDR XMS4400C25PT TwinX (2x512MB). what is the best way of clocking this setup?

It really depends what your chip maxes out at I'd say. First find your maximum clock for your CPU then we can get a better idea of what is the best way to configure the memory.

Try getting the best balance but as Kesnel siad you need to find the CPU
limit.

Using a divider isnt as bad as everyone says. 1:1 is allways nice but is hard to come by most of the time.
