Love it or hate it ? Its certainly unique !!

Its got Group A rally suspension, and a GTi-6 engine dropped in there.. yum yum :p

I like it... What was that about only 2 being produced? Tell more.

Except for the steering wheel, that looks wrong, it's a road car, putting that wheel makes it look kevved-up. Along with the fuel-filler cap.

Or is it just a modified car and the joke went straight over my head?

1997 Peugeot Dimma Cabriolet

Here we have my Dimma which I am selling as I have got a hard-top version.
The car is in excellent condition with 6 months MOT and 6 months tax.

The car is the original prototype Dimma cabriolet No.1 which makes it very, very unique!

It was converted when it was brand new by Dimma Design in Delamere, Cheshire to be a show car for a Peugeot dealership in Leeds to showcase the Peugeot 306 cabriolet and the conversion work done by Dimma Design.

It was on sale for £20,000+ back then.

The car has only had 3 owners and I am one of them. The first owner had the interior fully trimmed in leather and he got a first-of-it's-kind spoiler shipped over from Germany and fitted to the car at a considerable cost (the spoiler does not appear on any of the hard-top 306 Dimma's). It's a full wide-arch model with widened track and Peugeot Group-A suspension which Dimma Design approached Peugeot for as this had been used successfully on their World Rally cars. It was fitted to the car by Dimma at the time of being converted.

The car was originally a 2ltr 8v model and has had a Gti6 conversion, so it now has a six-speed gearbox, a 2ltr 16v engine and 167 horsepower! So all of these features coupled with the Group-A suspension, , plus the Dimma Design body conversion means it looks the mutt's nuts!

It has had a professional re-spray in original Peugeot 'Ruby' red. It is the top spec model, ie it has four electric windows, a power hood, electric heated mirrors, etc.

***This is a one-of-a-kind vehicle in a unique specification with an interesting history and is therefore a rare opportunity***
price £7650

I was talking to Chris ( Digitalwolf on here ) about the car, and like he said the car is abit pricey for what is a 306.. although its very unique.

They only reason they made only 2 was becuase nobody cared about Dimma, thats why they went bust, nobody wanted ridiculously expensive wideboy French cars. Well, not enough to keep the company afloat.

Could be worse, there used to be a Renault 5 with a dimma kit living somewhere near me a few years ago.

Square car with curvy body kit good call chump.

I've been to the chaps house, as I was buying some leather/alcantara seats off him, he's actually got a 306 Dimma Hatchback which... wait for it.... he's transplanted a 2.0 HDi engine into

It does look a little high in the photos for some reason ( I didn't look at that side when I was there ! )

EDIT - Infact the whole car looks too high in the pics.. weird.. didn't stand out that much when I was standing next to it.

The guy who started Dimma currently has an e46 M3 with a wide as hell arches, looks really chavvy though to be honest. He lives round the corner, didn't know the company went bust though.

Sorry, but that just screams MX5 to me (maybe the vodka is having effect).

I actually hate 306cabrios as they are anyway, seen one after it's been in an accident...me and my mate were sure we could see brainmatter/people's insides smeared around in the car...which was nearly a cube, just from the accident.

Also it screaming 'I want to be an MX5' reminds me of a forecourt near my house...MX5 for £2k, 306 cabrio for £4k...well I'd have the MX5 over the 306 any day...even if it is a hairdresser's car, no where near as bad as the 306 in that respect though, and much more fun too.
