306 squeaking noise

Car is a '98 S 306 D Turbo and it's making a squeaking noise which my mate has told me is the water pump bearing. Just looking for clarification on that and how much it's likely to cost to replace it.
Highlighted the noise making place here.

That as far as im aware mate, is just a roller/tensioner for your aux belt. Im pretty sure the water pump is driven by the cambelt.

you are 100% correct the water pump is driven by the cambelt, that is your auxbelt tensioner.
it is a common weak point on the XU series of engines and gets noisy, just replace it.No idea on cost of parts but its a simple job, remove aux belt and undo a few allen key bolts. refit belt and retension, 1 hour max to do.
