Anyone hazard a guess how reliable or fast this car would be? Looks like he's done a fairly good job of it, but how would you fix something like the speedo from the box?

its quite an easy'ish transplant as far as diff manufactorer to diff manufactorer goes, and is one thats well known for 306's. Not sure on how to fix speedo i would be inclined to try and get smart and graft in the calibra binicle into the 306 dash

Looks tasty, how does it whack down that much grunt in FWD though. Surprisingly good fit for the engine though. I's still bargain the torque of my screw modded Dturbo to demolish it though :p

See thats me roaring off ahead of it!

Well, I wouldn't want to say about speed or reliability but, the speedo should be reasonably easy to fix with a bit of thought. You could either get a mechanical geared unit to match the speed sensor to the box,get a custom made sensor or use an electronic speed signal converter like they use on jap imports.

Aparently the head gaskets on those turbo lumps are naff and prone to failure. Although as with anything, if you look after it and trust the car has been looked after before you. You shouldn't have any immediate problems.

The speedo can be recalibrated from the ECU. All you need to do is get it on a rolling road for a proper remap.
