I heard from Nvidia website that there will be 3060 12GB available soon. Currently there is no stock on OC, just wondering if there are any coming soon? Keen to have one considering the rather low price of 3060 these days!

??? 3060 non-Ti's are going for £700+ atm - heck, 2060 non-super's are going for £600+ right now.

The 3060 non-Ti was released in February and it's only ever been available in a low hash-rate version (although Nvidia accidentally released drivers that bypassed the limiter). So far as I know, there's no new version of this card (and I haven't seen stock of it anywhere since it was launched).

The 'msrp' for this card was $329 but there's no Founders Edition so you won't actually be able to buy one for that price anywhere.

I think there was a new version of 3060 which is locked for miners. Price around £300 - £400.

Don't get your hopes up for that sort of pricing. Even low hash rate demand is massive. As above, things like 2060's where available are going for nearly £600. This will be priced well north of £300, closer to £500. If you check sites which monitor prices, generally £500 - £600 mark with some models either side.

good to know! Thanks.

Actually there were some promotions in China few days ago, a Nvidia event, in which they sold hundreds of 3060 12 GB cards at RMB2999, £300 equivalent. So I'm hoping UK will introduce the same soon....

I guess you are right. Gee I hate waiting for this. I'm jealous to see people in China bought 3060 cards for RMB2999 the other day. Don't know if this price can come to UK sometime later this month.

You can check this thread in a Chinese forum - they showing off the screenshots of the order. If you are interested.

Just bide your time lads wait it out until autumn and go out enjoy the summer.
Like... Leave the house?? I'm unfamiliar with this strange concept.
Whoever is paying over £700 for a 3060 is mental they can be had for less than £600 fairly easily on marketplaces.

you can pick them up for 499.00 if you keep a look out for when stock come in. That`s newly minted not second-hand still 150.00 over the cost when they first hit the market.

This, was kinda half not really looking at a 6700xt for £770 on OCUK.

But now the weather has FINALLY got better, I've not actually played a single PC game of anything for around 10 days now.

So might as well leave it till later in the year.

I've had a few arguments with AIB's and the unfortunate fact these are priced identical to the none LHR versions, so they will be the same price and if the demand remains strong the price won't change.

They are opportunist gibbo :)

The problem is were buying all the LHR stock they can offer, even though its the same price, we don't take it someone else will happily have it and the simple fact is it will sell very fast even at very high pricing, demand presently shows no real signs of slowing.

The only reason AMD cards are in stock is because a) we got over 1000+ of them (6700 XT) which admittedly are now nearly sold out hence the price increases yesterday as some lines we only had 4-6% margin so now the stock is diminished we have gone to around 10% margin, no point in giving it all away. B) the AMD products do have less demand than NVIDIA, though since the 3080Ti launch we did see a bit of a rush on our 6900 XT hence why most are now sold out, all we have left is the Sapphire 6900 XTU Ultimate card which is frankly over priced but at our current listed price we make 8.78% so nothing outrageous.

Well i hope the situation improves for the end user before the year is out.

There was talk that some internet cafes in China had turned to mining Gaming & Internet Cafe's Being Converted To Cryptocurrency Mining Farms, Earning Higher Net Profits (wccftech.com)
That said cafes had put in big orders for 3060, perhaps with the mining crackdown in China they aren't buying as many 3060 as Nvidia expected so there were more for general release to the population. Personally I think that the AIB partners regard countries like the Uk as a "treasure island" and so aren't rushing to reduce prices for us

Interesting people who were waiting for the 3080ti with baited breath were found disappointed and possibly then rushed for the 6900xt.

No idea what those people where expecting... the 3080ti was always going to be boxed in. Its as good as it could have been, which is basically 3090 with half the VRAM.

I guess availability was much worse than expected. Aside from the FEs, and a literal hand-ful of AIBs from the FE retailer... not seen ANY stock anywhere else.

Which does beg the question... why did nVidia launch this now? They where supposedly holding back the launch for better stock?? This is "better"?

Does seem like the US might have had more... or at least various retailers doing in-store sales only. (with the expected 2-3 days of camping outside stores..)

what the 3080ti should have been is used as 3080's to clear back orders

instead it was a money grab

For sure. Its hard to see it as anything other than a cash grab. There was no need for this performance point in the stack.
The mining limiter is a joke too... and Im sure will be circumvented before long. (If any of these cards actually show up for sale...)
