does anyone know where I can grab a custom cable for my gpu,
just finishing up my build and don’t know why i missed this,
I’ve got all white cables in it so this sticks out proper:)
Any help will be much appreciated.
Thanks

wait, is the 3060ti using the 12 pin thing? yeagh
I’ve been looking but a bit worried as quite a few have hit and miss reviews,
was wondering how hard it would be to make a cable up myself ?
I’ve got some spare white cables that I could cut up from my white cable kit and use the sleeves off of them..
swear i have seen people on here making their own or does it end up working out expensive

At the momment i am using a EZDIY-FAB RTX 3000 Series 12 Pin extension and is working great.

I have used a custom cable from a DIY MOD shop when i had a 3070 and that also worked great. This was a full cable (from PSU-GPU).

Can't link because rules.

I’ve got one on route.
Confused me how it had the two 8 pin connectors where the oem only needed the one? but after a quick search I only need to plug in one side of the lead as you only use both on the 70 and 80 mode.

@bigtrak - please can you update once you have it installed? I'd also been looking at those cables and like you I was confused about whether it would be suitable for a 3060ti due to the two plugs, from memory only 6 of the pins are connected on the standard 1x8 adapter so just plugging on in would make sense!

Plugging both in won't hurt any thing. The card draws power, its not the supply that pushes so if the cards just using 75 watts for example, it doesn't matter that the connection can handle 300w

I did read that plugging in both connectors is fine, but when i had the 3070 i did not want to chance it. (this was for the full replacement cable)

The cable i got from The MOD Shop was only 6 pin and while it did work, did not look very good.

I’ve got it sitting in the packet as I write this, been chilling today as I’ve got work in the morning.
I did look into it some more and without looking at the oem lead right now,
I’m going off a vid online
only half the 3060ti lead is populated (6pins) with pins so the other side even if plugged in wouldn’t affect it as the other side of the plug is dummy.
Still a bit unsure on the lead myself as I’ve just built it and not even had a chance to do much on it yet.

Personally i would just plug in the single conector to the extension, just in case.

Hopefully that end of the extension is hidden out of sight?

I've bought a Cablemod one recently which has the same 12 pin in two "8s" and was also debating connecting the two 8 pin connectors from the PSU...

You may want to try looking online for custom cables for your GPU. There are many websites that specialize in custom cables for GPUs, such as CableMod, PrimoChill, and FrozenCPU. You can also check out your local computer shop to see if they have any custom cables that would fit your GPU.

ive got one already mate.
