Sell my 3060ti FE for £200?

Put this toward upgrade

What do I get ?

Totally out the graphic card loop for a few years

I game at 3440x 1440p superwide

Cheers

9070xt team red or 5070ti team green .

Am running a 7900xt gaming at 3440 x 1440 myself - very pleased with the performance .

If the limit is £350 after selling the 3060ti for £200 then a 9060 XT 16GB or the 5060 ti 16GB if buying new.

I’ve thought about it…I’ll use the £200 and put £350 myself so budget £550

What about used in this price range?

7900 XT?

the 9060xt is roundabout the 3070/3070ti level of performance, and with the added benefit of 16gb vram rather than 8gb
in terms of pure performance, it really isn't worth the upgrade

if you are going to buy used, then the lowest card to give you any sort of meaningful upgrade would be the 7800xt or a 4070 (both approx ~3080 level of performance)
i would not go for the 3080 unless you are able to find the 12gb version, because...10gb vram.
(also, depending on what PSU you have, you may also need to swap out the psu for something with a higher rated power)

if you are going to buy new:
5070 is approx a 3090
9070 (non-xt) is approx a 3090ti

Bought an XFX 9070XT for £558
looks like you got a good deal. Presumably some kind of voucher deal

EDIT - If anyone wants a card that is ~2x as powerful, all you need is about £8,000 :D

It's the same SKU / GPU type as the RTX 5090 (GB202).

It's funny that they never sold these as a RTX 5090 TI (with less VRAM), but apparently there's no need to.

They would probably need to reduce the price of the RTX 5090, then charge ~£2,000 for the TI model.

It could be that the yields on the top chips weren't high enough.
