I game at 3440x x1440 acrer 34p 120hrz widescreen monitor the question is 3070ti be enough or will I need the 3080.

Depends what you play. I think for most titles the 3070ti will be enough. There are always some titles that you won't even reach 60-80 on a 3080.. so depends what you play.

At the moment world of warships not too taxing and fallout 76 will be getting the new battlefield game when it's out and cyberpunk.

All depends because some are more fussy than others about frame rates and settings. Plus some games are much harder to run than others.

3070 Ti would be fine for most people.

Im not fussy, i played Cyberpunk on a laptop 1650 Ti Max-Q ( low power 35 watt version ) and i enjoyed it as much as anyone probably.

If that's the price then I'd get a 3080 although I did see an evga 3070ti in stock the other day for under 800 quid so maybe have a look around for a bit before dropping the cash.

There's a Palit model going for £750

Yeh I'm a evga fan as you can block them without warranty problems it's just catching a card that's in stock.

Can get the 3070ti just under £1000 and the 3080 is £1200.

Neither are worth anywhere near that amount. The only "Ok" prices are the FE models. I'd hold out for one of those, you could get a 3080FE and have over £550 spare if you were really going to budget £1200 for a 3080!

Definitely the most powerful you can get. Although either will run most games just fine there are games out there that neither will manage 120Hz so the more powerful the better. 3070ti is of course more available. Both are still about double normal price :-((

I'd rather have more than 8GB VRAM on a card of this class personally. If it wasn't for availability I'd have probably bought a 3080 instead of 3070 but I needed to get going on some ray tracing development stuff I had ongoing where the 1070 wasn't cutting it.

CP2077 at above 2560x1440 with settings at ultra or above can eat a big chunk of 8GB VRAM, possibly even push it to where the game is swapping assets to manage VRAM unless you enable one of the DLSS settings below quality (though that is mostly because the game needs a lot more work still).
