Not sure wtf is going on but been through the mill with this one

Enjoying gaming at the moment aswell playing Battlefield with new card however after so long the game just crashes to desktop on Windows 11 with absolutely no error..

I ordered a new PSU... issue persists..

I've ran furmark without issue etc.

Has anyone experienced this.. my system is stock so I'm baffled as to why this is happening.

How are you running the 3080, overclocked, undervolted or standard?

Also, I'd strongly recommend not using Furmark, it's considered a virus by manufacturers for a reason.

And do you use any monitoring s/w whilst gaming?

When I test an undervolt (currently 881/1920) I use a combination of Afterburner and HWINFO64.

This helps to see if anything abnormal might be occurring, for example, after I either restart the PC from scratch or from sleep, AB defaults to a state where there is an OC (that I haven't set), which will CTD almost instantly from a high GPU usage game. Not sure why it's doing this, it never happened on my old PC.

Easy enough to set my preferred UV via the AB key shortcuts, however, so no biggie.

Have you tried running the ddr4 without XMP? If that helps make it stable try increasing the speed gradually.

I had this problem and it turned out that I needed to increase my case fan curves to increase the cooling flow, I think what was happening was some component that wasn't obviously overheating according to the sensors actually was. The 3080 generates a lot of heat... and for reference my case is a high airflow Phanteks p500 with 3x140mm front fans and yeah they need to be cranked up

I think you may be onto something as my airflow is **** will get onto that

Hello, Win 10

Type event viewer via search Icon or control panel > administrative tools to locate it

I had an issue of late with this kind of thing happening with Battlefront 2 where every 15 mins I'd CTD no error on Father's Day. I hadn't gamed in a good while since RE Village came out.

1) I reseated my ram in this old system 4 x 4gb randomly to other slots.

2) I deleted my pagefile and made another.

3) I changed my security software to another(Another issue)

I think 1&2 was the fix for me. I'm thinking pagefile corruption.

Not had the issue since doing this.

Unlikely to fix your issue, but thought, worth a mention.
