3080 FE gone. Now MSI Suprim X or ASUS ROG Strix?

Sold my FE last month and my PC is now void until a graphics card is in. Been wanting either one of these for general gaming and most are still over a grand but they have gone down. I’m into my RGB as well ha.

Nope I don’t have access to the for sales market place here so have to go through retail or other sites to buy which is fine. I do have an opportunity to get the 12gb version for the MSI Suprim X for a decent price.

You're not getting a 3080 under rrp on the mm anyway, they're all getting sold for what they paid.

It's either another 3080 FE-but they've not been on sale (for 5 seconds) over the past ~3 months or so(don't know if they'll sell another on the same account anyway), or ~£800 for an aib 10Gb.

12Gb's clearly better but depends how much better than £800 it's worth to you.

I had a strix before my 3090 FE and it was a great card and looks decent if you want the RGB. The best high end deal at the moment is probably the 3080ti FE @1049 though.

I had the 3080 FE prior to this and the 3070 ti before that. I sold it as wanted to use the stock Ryzen prism cooler. The FE fans just blew hot air on to my memory and it kept crashing games. My fix was a USB fan blowing on it.

I am using an NZXT h510i so that don’t help with the lack of air flow.

Yeah that’s the thing. I’ll only spend so much. Though happy with either a cheaper 3080 where possible or go up for the 12gb version if a decent price.

Curious why you sold the 3080FE? Did you make a profit ? If so, takes the sting out of buying a 3080FE Ti or similar?

Ahhhh thinking about it. He probably cannot purchase the TI because of 1 unit per person across the whole 3000 range of FE cards.

could ask friend or family not like they are selling out instantly so have enough time, dont know how much profit he made selling I wouldnt be buying any of the high end 30 series cards now with next gen not far off unless could get used for cheap

I did but not intentional. I always wanted the MSI Suprim X as looks nice and seems to be rated high.

Yep this... I mean I could have changed the cooler or the case but chose not to. I still need a graphics card so once that in I'll monitor and see how much worse it can get with heat dissipation from the GPU fan.
