3080 load temps

Hi

For my EVGA 3080 XC3 Ultra I’m messing around with the fan curves. Currently I’ve got them so under load it keeps the temps at around 70c, but this is a tad noisy. What’s a good load temp/noise ratio to aim for? Under default fan conditions I max out at around 79-80c but felt this was a little high.

any suggestions happily accepted.

I have the MSI Trio. Playing a game now and it's sitting around 38 degrees. In more demanding games it goes to 50 degrees. Undervolting FTW!

Sounds a tad toasty, might be a case ventilation issue?
My 3080 tuf will run flat out gaming around 62C with the fans about 60% all day long, which I can barely hear.

case is a CoolerMaster H500M, with two 200mm front fans, and two 240mm extract fans at the top and a 240mm extract fan at the rear. Been on the EVGA forum and apparently it’s common with this card. I’ve activated the aggressive fan curve and it’s a little better.

What sort of clock speed is the card running while at 70C? Not sure about your card, but my old 1080Ti ftw had two bios options, one ran a stronger fan curve.

Using MSI Afterburner I set my fan curve like for like, meaning at 40c the fans were at 40%RPM and my Aorus 1080ti Extreme runs at around 55 to 60c under Gaming/streaming conditions, left on a weak fan curve and it would be in the high 70's and even 80's.
