3080 not detected

Hi All, Built a new rig. I have built a few in past. I have a 3080, and the parts are listed on screenshots below, as you can see the GPU clocks are not showing, and it doesn't appear in task manager. However, the lights are on and the fans are spinning, so it's obviously connected properly

any ideas? I can't install drivers as it keeps coming up with error..

any help would be appreciated

I'd update your windows first. Then try and download and install the nvidia drivers

that fixed every single issue I had

but yeah, if anyone has this issue in future, download latest windows update

I made the mistake of re-installing windows from an old version (must be around 2015/2016) - it took FORVER to do all the updates, I had assumed it could just do one big update and done, but no it went through every major update in sequence. Took blinkin hours!

So lesson learned, if re-installing windows always make an up to date installation drive first!

you are better off reinstall your windows by downloading the latest media creation tool.

your windows was version 1607 even updating, it would have some gremlins in there.
